- ItemAvaliação de noções operatórias em adolescentes com e sem indícios do transtorno de déficit de atenção e hiperatividade(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2012-09-04) Pylro, Simone Chabudee; Rossetti, Claudia Broetto; Souza, Maria Thereza Costa Coelho de; Fiorot, Meire Andersan; Menandro, Paulo Rogério Meira; Queiroz, Sávio Silveira deThis study aimed to investigate the operative concepts of permutations and quantification of the probabilities amongst students with and without signs of Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). To compose the two groups: (a) with signs of ADHD and (b) no evidence of ADHD, we used the Scale for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder – Version to Teachers of Benczik (2000), along nine educators. After the application of this instrument, the groups with and without signs of ADHD were made with 12 students each, a total of 24m adolescents, eight males and 16 females, aged between 15 and 17 years, all enrolled in the 2nd years of a public high school. We also applied the questionnaires Adult Self-Report Scale - 18 ASRS, to students who obtained suggestive rates of ADHD, after the first evaluation, and the SNAP-IV, among the parents of the students who howed signs of the disorder. After groups’ composition, the students responded to the items of permutations and quantification of the probabilities of the Echelle de Developpement de la Pensee Logique (EDPL) (1965/1974) and played two matches of the electronic games Lucky Casino and Lua Vermelha, from the Mission Cognition, CD of Haddad-Zubel (2006). In addition, interviews were conducted on the practice of these two games. In the case of Lucky Casino, the interview was accompanied by the presentation of some problem situations. The application of each instrument was conducted individually, seeking to respect the Piagetian clinical method (1947/2005). Levels of understanding of the logical system of each game were proposed for the games analysis. The results indicated that, facing a more classic instrument of assessment (EDPL), adolescents with ADHD, differently than adolescents without ADHD’s evidence, tended to have characteristic responses of a preoperational thought, concerning permutation’ notion, and a concrete operational thought, concerning probabilities quantification evaluation . By solving similar problems in a videogame format, these same students had better classification, standing on the understanding of the game system at level 2, in tasks of permutations and quantification of probabilities, showing traces a concrete operational stage. These data seem important to us, particularly regarding permutations’ item in EDPL, because the preoperational stage is characterized by being intuitive, being scarce of properties such as anticipation, conservation and reversibility, which could compromise much the routine of a teenager, especially in school tasks. Finally, it’s worthy remembering that since the number of participants in this study was limited, the data reported here should be analyzed carefully and not generalized, there is a need for further research that could explore such issues. Keywords: attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, evaluation, cognitive processes, permutations, quantification of probabilities, adolescent.
