Resumo
This dissertation is dedicated to the development of a didactic-pedagogical guidance manual to support teachers in the planning and implementation of lessons on Statistics, a curricular component within the Financial and Fiscal Education track of the New High School model, in accordance with the guidelines of the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the official curriculum of the state of Espírito Santo. The research is based on the recognition of the challenges faced by teachers when working with new curricular components, often without having received specific training. The study examines the foundations of Statistics education as presented in the BNCC and offers practical suggestions aligned with school contexts, seeking to make learning more meaningful and contextualized. The use of local data from Espírito Santo is incorporated into several activities and examples developed throughout the work, aiming to enhance student engagement through contextual relevance. As its main contribution, the material provides both theoretical and practical support to strengthen teaching practices, promoting competencies such as critical thinking and informed decision-making.
