Programação Linear e Algoritmo Simplex: uma Proposta de Abordagem no Curso Técnico em Agropecuária

Resumo
This work presents a proposal for an interdisciplinary activity that seeks to take advantage of the contents already known by the students, such as equations, inequalities and linear systems, in order to introduce new knowledge: Linear Programming (LP) and the Simplex Algorithm. We propose an algebraic and technological approach, in order to show that mathematics learned in basic education can be applied in everyday life. We established a brief relationship between PL and Computational Thinking, encouraging the use of new technologies and aligning it with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the curriculum of the State of Espírito Santo. Although the activity was designed for a class of the technical course in agriculture, it can be easily used in regular high school classes. Finally, we present an application for smartphone and a computational resource for solving problems with many variables. It is necessary to remember that the proposal was not applied, due to the current moment of fight against COVID-19.
