    Frequência uterina enquanto pista para sentir-com vivos e mortos

    This dissertation proposes the concept of uterine frequency as an aesthetic and political trigger to reflect on the relationship between the body and planet Earth, based on its human, non human, living and dead inhabitants. The notion is developed from a dialog with James Hillman’s post-Jungian psychology, especially his ideas about image and soul, and with the concept of Body-without-Organs, developed by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. The discussion therefore revolves around the triggers of the feminine, the body, mediumship and death. Uterine frequency is conceived as a marker of the feminine in science, in interlocution with eco-feminist thinkers such as Donna Haraway, Vinciane Despret, Isabelle Stengers, Ursula K. Le Guin and Maria Puig de la Bellacasa. Their thoughts contribute to stressing the narratives of the Anthropocene and imagining other ways of relating to Gaia. Through cartographies and intuitive conversations between the living and the dead, the uterine frequency is performed as an invitation to reflect on our common origin: we all come from a womb, just as we are sons and daughters of the Earth. With Haraway, the proposal of thinking-with unfolds into feeling with. Through her tentacular thinking and the creation of imbroglios, uterine frequency is affirmed as an eco-feminist claim. Another imbroglio created concerns the challenge to the duality between life and death that the uterus manifests, being a space of cyclicity and decomposition, a kind of compost bin, as suggested by Haraway, which seems to allow us to think about mediumship and the relationship with the dead. Also with Silvia Federici, traditions of historically marginalized female knowledge are evoked and, in many cases, violently silenced for challenging the patriarchal linearity that separates life and death. Summoning conversations with non-human beings and with the dead appears, then, as a possible detour, a recurring practice among women and experienced by the interlocutors of this research. These are women with whom the researcher has trained as a circle facilitator, as well as participants in Curanderia, a circle she leads. Finally, uterine frequency emerges as a bet on care in the face of the risks of capture by the colonial-capitalist system. It dialogues with the knowledge of the body, as proposed by Suely Rolnik, with deviations from the sorcery of this system, as suggested by Isabelle Stengers and Philippe Pignarre, and as forms of resistance and re- enchantment of existence

    Germinar territórios de vida em contextos de luta por moradia : resistência e aquilombamento da Ocupação Vila Esperança

    This dissertation proposes to accompany processes of aquilombamento that germinate from existence and resistance within the context of an urban occupation and the struggle for housing. To this end, we seek to operate with an expanded conception of aquilombamento , drawing particularly on the contributions of Beatriz Nascimento and Abdias do Nascimento, who offer critiques of the hegemonic historiographical conception that attributes to the quilombos a strictly archaeological condition, fixed in the past. Thus, through this broadening, we aim to weave threads of connection between aquilombamento territories and housing occupations, in light of the delineation of the categories of affection, care, and ancestral wisdom. The Vila Esperança Occupation is the territory where this research unfolds. Located in the municipality of Vila Velha, part of the Metropolitan Region of Greater Vitória (RMGV) in the state of Espírito Santo, the occupation began in 2017. Due to the high housing deficit, combined with the health crisis caused by Covid-19, the occupation expanded, sheltering approximately 800 families by 2025, according to residents’ reports. Situated on an extensive plot surrounded by environmental preservation areas, the occupation faces the pressures of an intense land conflict in the region. Indeed, the entanglement of the forces of the State, the real estate market, and the judicial system imposes a grammar of violence materialized through police repression, real estate financial capital, and legal discourse — all working toward the eviction of residents from the self-built and occupied territory. In this sense, the analyses presented here focus on the period of intensification of the territorial dispute, resulting from the judicial decision ordering the population’s eviction. Through a participatory methodological approach centered on the processes that germinate from/in the lived ground — that is, the relations that make it possible to sustain a living territory — we seek to give shape to the aquilombamento processes cultivated during critical moments of attack and dismantling, as well as during the reclaiming of Vila Esperança, following the Supreme Federal Court (STF) decision to suspend the repossession order. Furthermore, grounded in the experience of Vila Esperança, we highlight the importance of occupations as spaces of belonging and protection in the face of capitalist-colonialist logics of urban production

    Práticas de construção coletiva do cuidado : o projeto terapêutico singular como estratégia de afirmação do SUS

    This research aimed to map the construction of care practices between service users and workers of the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) in the city of Serra, Espírito Santo, Brazil. The study is situated within the framework of the National Mental Health Policy, which is anti-asylum in nature and advocates for community-based care and freedom, focusing on enhancing the autonomy and protagonism of users within the Unified Health System (SUS). The narratives of trajectories within the RAPS compose the research, guided by the cartographic perspective, where creation occurs within the process through lived experiences and the construction of worlds. The research focuses on the development of Singular Therapeutic Projects (PTS) as a tool to foster care cultivated through relationships. Starting from a localized experience that reflects the reality of many other territories, the study invests in collective movements to create care strategies. This involves problematizing the solidified roles that users and workers may occupy — where responsibility for knowledge and intervention is often verticalized. It was observed that the affirmation of anti-asylum practices, which are inherently democratic, is consolidated through collective and co-managed construction. In conclusion, sustaining collective interests provides an expanded meaning to mental health care and contributes to the affirmation of the public dimension of public health policies

    O uso neoliberal das imagens e o nosso : da sublimação à “interpretação fotográfica”

    This dissertation investigates the capture of subjectivity and desire by neoliberal logic, analyzing how algorithmic mediation and the hypervalorization of the scopic field transform self-image into a commodity. Grounded in Freudian-Lacanian psychoanalysis and in dialogue with decolonial thought, the research problematizes the use of “wall-images”— prefabricated meanings that attempt to plug the subject's structural lack — to foster narcissistic and competitive dynamics within the social bond. The study addresses the real of racial difference as a traumatic core that destabilizes the fantasy of whiteness's fullness and the framework of the colonizing gaze. The research proposes a direction for subverting this scenario through photography, understood not as a mirror of reality, but as a sublimatory practice. Drawing inspiration from the metaphor of the “third portrait”, which avoids both escapist idealism and passive naturalism, the work defines “photographic interpretation” as a gesture that points towards what escapes representation. This practice reintroduces a distinct temporality and highlights the constitutive void of visual language, allowing the subject to engage with the visible through singular references, thereby dismantling the claim to universality inherent in the modern master's discourse. Employing Žižekian kynicism, this study proposes the photographic act as an intervention within the dominant cynical reason, transforming the image into a field of resistance against gadget-images. It concludes that the photographic act, by elevating the object to the dignity of the Thing (das Ding), operates as a form of resistance to mercantile instrumentalization, revealing the structural flaw that undermines the neoliberal fantasy of fullness

    This research analyzes the work practices of technical professionals of Institutional Shelter Services (SAI) for children and adolescents, which follows the public policy of protection for children and adolescents. The main objective is to question/problematize the ethical directions of work present in these establishments. Among the specific objectives, under the bias of the model proposed by intervention research, we formulate the following question: In the service of what - or for whom - do the Institutional Services that shelter children and adolescents work? Regarding the theoretical basis, we resorted, especially, to the contents related to “institutional analysis”, “philosophy of difference” and “Afroperspectivity”. The methodology includes interviews-conversations with workers - psychologists and social workers - linked to the Institutional Shelters of Greater Vitória - ES. It is also part of our methodological proposal to include the narratives of the experience of working in an SAI of the researcher herself. These dialogues allowed us to problematize, differentiate and confront notions of childhood and adult centric practices, as well as to analyze the Comprehensive Protection Policy aimed especially at black children and young people - men and women - historically impacted by the harsh Brazilian colonial process. This master's research indicates fruitful proposals for work with children and young people, whose practices confront death policies and expand life-affirming experiences.
