Resumo
Slam is a spoken poetry competition created in the United States by Marc Smith, in the 80's. In 2008, with its arrival in Brazil, this modality expands to young and marginalized communities, demonstrating aspects of a resistant culture, which honors the life experiences of the participants by color. This research, then, is conceived by the need for preservation and restoration of black oral culture in diaspora. Thus, this research is interested in the Analysis of the anti-racist discourse (VAN DIJK, 2016) related to the production of the oral poetics called Slam. We seek to find perspectives that enable the construction of new identitary views on the young Afro-Brazilian population intersected by oralitura (FERRER, 2010). The research objectives include investigating the discursive materiality characterized as anti-racist in Slam's poetry and the process of production of meanings and intersubjectivities of memory and identity of black bodies, allied to argumentation strategies of oraliture as a performance of a language of resistance and ancestry, in order to highlight the production of counter-narratives (PRICE, 2015) and their effects on the production of meanings, ideologies and subjectivities. As a theoretical contribution, this research dialogues with the Critical Studies of Race (SOLÓRZANO & YOSSO, 2010) aiming to build connecting epistemologies to confront marginalized realities; and with Critical Discourse Studies by overlapping the relationships between discursive, social and cognitive structures. The construction of the corpus for analysis was based on the monitoring of the group “Slam Botocudos”, the first to be organized in the city of Vitória and diffuser of oral art in the state. Data collection included recording the communicative events by video and transcribing sponken texts of the performances for analysis. The results found were discursive marks that evidenced the representation of the black experience in a current (re)construction of a narrative universe that opposes social inequality. The creation of voices to everyday life that is used in this space reinscribes realities of existence and resistance in a perspective of black people and black history as a center of experience.
