| dc.description.abstract | In the field of cultural heritage and territoriality, it is considered necessary to discuss the processes of construction and management of the territory from a transdisciplinary approach, aimed at local development and the valorization of territorial heritage, overcoming the dichotomy between conservation and transformation. Considering the ongoing process of deterritorialization and the advance of the production of urban spaces over rural ones, the research was dedicated to the study of territory as heritage and the concept of urban bioregion, an approach taken by the Italian Territorialist School. In this context, the territorial heritage of the Serra de Ouro Preto/MG was adopted as the object of research due to the identification of a critical limit of occupation in the region, pointed out on four fronts: the buildings constructed on archaeological sites of the mining societies of the 18th and 19th centuries; the buildings in areas of geological risk; the production of residential condominiums; and the advance of mining over open spaces. In addition, as this is a transitional region between the city of Ouro Preto and its countryside, the urban-rural relationship was discussed in relation to bioregional planning. Based on the above, permanence, persistence and loss were established in the Serra's land mass and, in a propositional exercise, these elements were adopted as premises for thinking about the territory under a bioregionalist reading key. To this end, we carried out qualitative and descriptive research based on the methodologies developed by the Italian Territorialist School, which consist, firstly, of establishing the urban bioregion in which the object of study is located, by recognizing its environmental, political, living and economic domains, and, secondly, of representing the identity of the place, through a historical-structural and morphotypological reading of the territory, interpretation and representation of its territorial heritage. The work is based on bibliographical research of a historical, theoretical-conceptual and methodological nature and on documentary research. In this way, it contributes: to discussions about the triad Territorial Heritage - Urban Bioregion - Self-sustainable Local Development; to conceptual methodological experimentation on the urban bioregion; to the application of the methodology of identity representation in a Brazilian context; and to the deepening of knowledge about the Serra de Ouro Preto/MG. | |
| dc.description.resumo | No campo do patrimônio cultural e da territorialidade, entende-se necessário discutir acerca dos processos de construção e gestão do território a partir de uma abordagem transdisciplinar, voltada ao desenvolvimento local e à valorização do patrimônio territorial, superando a dicotomia entre conservação e transformação. Considerando o processo de desterritorialização em curso e o avanço da produção dos espaços urbanos sobre os rurais, a pesquisa dedicou-se ao estudo do território enquanto patrimônio e do conceito de biorregião urbana, abordagem feita pela Escola Territorialista Italiana. Nesse contexto, adotou-se o patrimônio territorial da Serra de Ouro Preto/MG como objeto de pesquisa devido à identificação de um limite crítico de ocupação na região, apontado em quatro frentes: as edificações construídas em sítios arqueológicos das sociedades minerárias dos séculos XVIII e XIX; as edificações em áreas de risco geológico; a produção de condomínios residenciais; e o avanço da mineração sobre os espaços abertos. Além disso, por se tratar de região de transição entre a cidade de Ouro Preto e seu interior, discutiu-se a relação urbano-rural em interface com o planejamento biorregional. A partir do exposto, foram estabelecidas permanências, persistências e perdas na massa territorial da Serra, e, num exercício propositivo, esses elementos foram adotados como premissas para pensar o território sob uma chave de leitura biorregionalista. Para tanto, procedeu-se à pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva embasada nas metodologias elaboradas pela Escola Territorialista Italiana, que consistem, num primeiro momento, no estabelecimento da biorregião urbana na qual se insere o objeto de estudo, por meio do reconhecimento de seus domínios ambiental, político, do habitar e econômico, e, num segundo momento, na representação identitária do lugar, por meio de leitura histórico-estrutural e morfotipológica do território, interpretação e representação de seu patrimônio territorial. O trabalho se apoia em pesquisa bibliográfica de cunho histórico, teórico-conceitual e metodológico e em pesquisa documental. Desse modo, contribui: com as discussões acerca da tríade Patrimônio Territorial - Biorregião Urbana - Desenvolvimento Local Autossustentável; com a experimentação conceitual-metodológica relativa à biorregião urbana; com a aplicação da metodologia de representação identitária em um contexto brasileiro; e com o aprofundamento do conhecimento acerca da Serra de Ouro Preto/MG. | |
