For this, we work the mathematical contents referring to Basic Statistics, as the difference between Inductive and Deductive Statistics, Data Tabulation, Position and Dispersion Measures, as well as Standardized Score. We present the visualization of these data through practical application, interpreting real data obtained by the indicators used by the Espírito Santo state government as a model – PAEBES. We also present a case study, where the practical application of statistics in the development of calculations of indicators to obtain the desired indexes was demonstrated, demonstrating the importance of the calculations together with the correct interpretation of the data obtained. The work was completed by demonstrating the applicability of indicators in entrepreneurship, as well as the use of indicators in other indicators.
- ItemA resolução de problemas como uma proposta de ensino de análise combinatória(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2019-12-13) Bassani, Jheimys Bezerra; Rosado Filho, Moacir ; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7617-3133; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5049304126500678; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9282-0441; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9797097614232929; Araujo, Alancardek Pereira; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5183-8805; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2131363687907189This dissertation aims to address ways that facilitate the teaching and learning of combinatorial analysis through a problem-solving approach, pursuing broad and se quential solutions. It starts with the intuitive idea of counting, which will then be com plemented by the fundamental principle of addition and multiplication. After that, the concepts of simple, circular permutation will be presented, together with repeated ele ments and chaotic. We also address simple and complete combination, and Kaplansky’s lemmas by studying the main problems of combination. The problems proposed in the chapters were selected in order to complement the theoretical part- commonly omitted- and to demonstrate alternative resolution techniques, such as counting by inclusion exclusion and recurrence, always oriented to the pursuit of solutions that promote logical thinking and not the use of formulas

Every year we received in our classrooms of high school hundreds of students with different levels of math skills, different social classes, creeds, races , etc. Arriving from several public and private colleges and see each other together in a room having to learn the same content to be submitted at the end the same assessment that does not take into account their differences. At one end you have the teacher with a mission to extract as much as possible, the ability of these students and at the other end are students with many information are passed each day, and many don't understand what learning math. Teaching math for 40 or more students in a classroom is not an easy task, we have several tools, methodologies and learning strategies to assist us in this difficult task, but competing with the use of mobile phones and technologies that can call more attention that the teacher has not been easy. In this research will be presented a strategy and a technological tool in order to be an alternative to teachers to teach math in a way, say more friendly to students. We know that our students present a certain ease with the use of new technologies and the idea here is to just explore this facility. In this research, we will show you how to use the E-book, which is a tool widely used by our students in your day to day, and the YouTube platform, as tools in the teaching and learning of math. At the end of this research is, as final product, two interactive E-books (theory and Numerical Sets), and others in development, several lessons on youtube channel beaba da matemática as well as a Web site (www.beabadamatematica.com) with a variety of materials, from lesson to E books and lists of exercises.

- ItemMúltiplos aprendizados no ensino de frações e números decimais na educação básica(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-05-24) Suzano, Geyson; Filho, Moacir Rosado; Araujo, Alancardek Pereira; Ferreira, Maria Claro SchuwartzThe proposal of this work is to make the rescue of elementary education in Basic Education. The initial idea is to make a history of fractions and decimals, identifying when and how the first records arose and from which need were introduced into societies. From there will be a presentation on the teaching of fraction in the present and how are the indices relative to Brazil. In order to understand this process, a qualitative diagnosis will be presented in this work with teachers of Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education (1st Phase) on time of action, formation in Mathematics and formation in fractions and decimals, among others. It will be done an analysis of specific questionnaires, applied to 5th and 9th grade students of elementary and the third grade of high school, with specific questions of models applied in the SAEB (Basic Education Assessment System) with the respective descriptors of the contents studied. Next, the answers given by the students will be discussed. This paper also proposes an intervention for the teaching of fraction with exercises and discussions of possible solutions to facilitate the learning of the content.
- ItemNúmeros Complexos e Fasores(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2021-04-09) Souza Neto, Jesuino Martins de; Araujo, Alancardek Pereira; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5183-8805; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2131363687907189; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0077584586282286; Strey, Eleonesio; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0305-9553; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3002635921226391; Rosado Filho, Moacir; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7617-3133; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5049304126500678To simplify, a phasor can be defined as a vector used to reproduce a sine wave. It is a very useful mathematical tool, in particular the teaching of alternating current (AC) circuits. However, for the academic calendar to be adhered to, teaching is often carried out after the stages, because is necessary to pressure students to learn how to do math. This dissertation will discuss complex numbers and phasors, explaining from the basic concepts to their applications. It is important to emphasize that the phasor issue is not a trivial matter, and has many details to be fully understood. As the theme is used for practical purposes, its concepts end up being left out. With this work, we intend to build a didactic material capable of guiding, in a clear way and with the necessary theoretical rigor, the study of complex numbers and phasors. Thus, it will serve as a reference for learning and reviewing the theme.
- ItemO Uso de Dígitos Verificadores e de Códigos Corretores de Erros no Ensino Básico de Matemática(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2021-04-26) Paula, Diego Pauli de; Rosado Filho, Moacir; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7617-3133; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5049304126500678; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6023-1394; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6886101197687761; Strey, Eleonesio; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0305-9553; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3002635921226391; Araujo, Alancardek Pereira; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5183-8805; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2131363687907189In this dissertation, we aimed to present the verification codes and the error-correcting codes in basic education, especially the Hamming code and its relationship with the matrices, which includes some examples of their daily functions. We argue that the low applicability of Mathematics teaching on a daily basis leads to students' lack of interest in the discipline and that didactic intervention through the use of check digits and error-correcting codes in the study of Mathematics, on the other hand, generates greater interest. In addition to bibliographic research, to prove our hypothesis, we developed a didactic sequence applied to a 2nd year high school class at a state school in the municipality of Santa Teresa, Espírito Santo, Brazil. To captivate students and rethink traditional teaching, work was carried out to contextualize and develop the theme, in which students became an active part of the teaching and learning process. Finally, the work encourages reflection on the current models of education and the low performance of students in Mathematics.
- ItemRegressão logística em microdados da educação(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2023-12-19) Salvador Neto, Antônio; Araujo, Alancardek Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2131363687907189; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6700035359294522; Valentim, Fabio Julio da Silva; https://orcid.org/0000000324057696; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8745134398831488; Strey, Giselle Ribeiro de Azeredo SilvaAcademic performance is a constant concern in the field of education. Statistical regression techniques applied to data obtained from the National High School Exam (ENEM) can assist in understanding the factors that influence students’ academic performance. The work provides theoretical foundations on linear and logistic regression, as well as discretization techniques, data manipulation, and model quality measures. Logistic regression models were fitted with ENEM data from the years 2020, 2021, and 2022 independently and for each assessment subject. The models proved robust enough to predict students’ performance based on socioeconomic data. Descriptive analysis and model coefficient examination point to a strong negative correlation between the number of people living in the same residence as the student and their performance. Additionally, the family income category, father’s occupation, and the type of school the student attended have a significant impact on performance in the assessment. Another important factor was age; higher ages tend to belong to higher performance categories.
- ItemResgate do Teorema de Dandelin no estudo de cônicas com o geogebra(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2014-04-25) Monteiro, Rubens Marinho; Gonçalves Junior, Etereldes; Conceição Junior, Duilio Tadeu da; Araujo, Alancardek PereiraThe purpose of this work is to make the rescue of Dandelin‘s theorem in the study of conical. The idea is to present how Dandelin used spheres and cones to show that the curves that arise when cutting a conical surface by a plane are: ellipse, hyperbole, or parable. We will define the general equation of a conic by its eccentricity, as well as the relationship between the geometric and algebraic concept. We will do an analysis of how the book “Novo Olhar - Matem´atica” of Joamir Souza, work adopted by the state Department of Education of Esp´irito Santo for the students of the 3rd level of high school, is the approach of the conical theme. It is also reported in this work a collection of experiences and activities elaborated in the software Geogebra and Winplot that were discussed in the disciplines of MA35, MA36 and MA23 whose character is to contextualize and give applications to conical.
- ItemResolução de problemas: proposta de trabalho para alunos com dificuldades em matemática(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2019-07-18) Assis, Vagner Braga de; Filho, Moacir Rosado; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7617-3133; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5049304126500678; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1530866634372493; Araujo, Alancardek Pereira; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5183-8805; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2131363687907189The present paper is a proposition of activities to students that have just lost their enthusiasm for mathematics throughout their school life. There are many factors that have made these students not to interact with the subject since automatic approval, that leads pripils to upper grades without proper knowledge, until a negative sequence of experiences in evaluations that puts him/her ever fritter away from mathematics. The ideia is "seducing" our apprentice with challenging problems that can be solved even with a little mathematical enlightenment and as he/she engages in the topic, he may realize that interacting with numbers is possible and that one way or another everyone has math knowledge. We will present concepts of paridade and the principle of houses of pigeon house with a wide range of interesting problems that allows is a good work with students. We will also cope with Brazilian Olympiad of Mathematics of the Public Schools (OBMEP) problems due to the variety of questions it provides.

- ItemSobre o conteúdo matemático do processo seletivo para o ensino médio integrado do IFES(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2023-10-23) Leal, Patrik Borges do Nascimento; Araujo, Alancardek Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2131363687907189; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5791321173579514; Silva, Jose Carlos Thompson da; Rosado Filho, Moacir; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5049304126500678IFES is an institution that provides quality public education. And when it comes to technical courses integrated into high school, access is through a selection test. The objective of this work is to analyze the mathematics content of these tests from 2011 to 2022, raising the most charged topics and producing preparatory material that can be used by teachers and students. The development took place through a superficial approach to the contents with a focus on solving questions from previous tests on the five themes contained in the last public notice. This resulted in interesting material with more than 50% of the questions on the analyzed tests resolved in the form of examples, in addition to a bank of questions as an appendix.
- ItemUso da criptografia RSA no ensino de matemática(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2023-08-24) Rosa, Alex Almeida; Col Júnior, Alcebíades Dal; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1376-2229; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8804122683532679; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8628392644128971; Castro, Fidelis Zanetti de; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9502-0220; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2373180848461397; Araujo, Alancardek Pereira; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5183-8805; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2131363687907189We live in the age of technology, where information is passed on almost instantly by the means of communication. Messages are forwarded by the millions every hour. The objective of this work is to demonstrate how mathematics is important in this process, especially with regard to information security. We will explore the importance of fundamental mathematical concepts for understanding RSA Cryptography, which is the main theme of this work, such as Prime Numbers and Modular Arithmetic. Topics like this involving novelty and technology call the attention of students who during traditional classes generally do not combine theory and practice. For this reason, this work has as its final proposal the realization of a Didactic Sequence that associates theory with practice through free and easily accessible software and applications.
