At first we commented on relevant aspects of Gerd Bornheim's interpretations of aesthetic criticism. Our goal was to understand the nuances participating in the convergence process towards what Bornheim called artistic languages. This perspective added to the original studies on the poet makes it possible to understand both the notion of "open" (a milestone in Rilkian poetics), as the unfolding of the aesthetic experience in Rilke, that makes us understand the poet´s place in the aesthetics of his time and how he moves in the face of cultural and philosophical expressions and dialogues. It has been found that Rilke’s livingness constituted itself by “openings” with regard to the arts, notions that appear in his poetry, in the letters and his comments on the visual arts. For such proposal, it was necessary to revisit important works by the Czech poet, where he establishes an approximation between different arts such as poetry, painting and sculpture. In this sense, we highlight the work Elegías de Duíno, which presents itself as a foundation for the analysis by Gerd Bornheim. Our research is based on writings and interpretations such as Dora Ferreira da Silva and José Paulo Paes, which support us in the analysis of Rilke´s poetic trajectory. The research finally showed that both Gerd Bornheim´s and Rainer Maria Rilke´s, writing become the gateway to reflection around other artistic spaces, dialoguing in a variety of different ways
