We propose some considerations that aim to explain effects which arise during the scattering and, despite the intense activity in this area in order to explain these effects, had not yet been taken into consideration.
- ItemOndas gravitacionais em modelos cosmológicos: isotrópicos e anisotrópicos(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2025-04-22) Viana, Luar Samir Oliveira; Gonçalves, Vitorino de Borba; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8570-9750; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4992784379693871; Oliveira Neto, Gil de; Alvarenga, Flavio Gimenes; Rodrigues, Davi CabralGravitational waves of cosmological origin are currently one of the most promising channels for probing the early universe. While homogeneous and isotropic cosmological models are extensively employed to describe the gravitational backgrounds through which gravitational radiation propagates, anisotropic models can account for certain phenomena not predicted by the standard model, such as specific anomalies observed in the cosmic microwave background (CMB). Therefore, in this dissertation, we analyze the theoretical formulation of gravitational waves within both the isotropic FLRW model and the anisotropic Bianchi type I model. To this end, we initially adopt the gauge-dependent classical approach of cosmological perturbation theory. The issue of gauge fixing is given special attention, and we find that the commonly used synchronous, transverse, and traceless gauges, which are widely employed in the isotropic case, are no longer mutually compatible in the anisotropic scenario, even though the longitudinal components of gravitational waves have no physical significance, as demonstrated throughout this work. Consequently, the two irreducible, decoupled polarization modes typical of gravitational waves can no longer be obtained solely through a gauge analysis, and the resulting wave equations are coupled. In light of this, we employ the gauge-invariant formalism for a comprehensive physical analysis and interpretation, from which we derive the two polarization modes, for all possible wave vector configuration, and obtain analytical solutions to the wave equations for various particular cases. Ultimately, we believe this work provides a relevant analysis of the gauge issue, given the existing discrepancies in the specialized literature.
- ItemRestrições entrópicas em cosmologias quase-topológicas(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2013-03-12) Lima, Andre Luiz Alves; Constantinidis, Clisthenis Ponce; Alvarenga, Flavio Gimenes; Sotkov, Galen Mihaylov; Nastase, Horatiu StefanWe present a teaching sequence developed with STSE approach that aimed to develop important aspects of scientific literacy in high school students, which was developed during the first half of 2015, in a class of 40 students the first year of education East, the morning shift, the State School Aristobulo Barbosa Leão, located in Serra / ES. The STSE approach, and boost critical and reflective questions, has a functional structure that facilitated the organization of 19 classes that make up the instructional sequence, entitled "energy sources and their environmental and social impacts: evaluating costs and benefits." We chose to open questions, collective reading texts, videos consideration and discussion of issues related to them in the search for more interactive and dialogical classes. The qualitative study aimed to investigate the potential of educational intervention in the context of physical education, from the pursuit of scientific literacy of evidence in the arguments produced by the students, analyzing the quality of these arguments and epistemological present operations on them. The data were collected from the following sources: teacher logbook classes in video recordings, audio recordings of conversations, copy the written activities and interview recorded audio. The choice of a social-controversial issue as the issue of intervention and starting point of the STSE approach contributed to the success of educational intervention, since data analysis allowed us to conclude that the teaching sequence was able to contribute to scientific literacy process students and provided development of their argumentative skills. In addition to the dissertation research provided the preparation of a final product, which is developed instructional sequence and has reports of very rich experiences that occurred in me for your application
- ItemUma revisão da gravitação bidimensional do ponto de vista da gravitação quântica de Loops(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2007-06-28) Costa, Alex Rios; Piguet, Olivier; Constantinidis, Clisthenis Ponce; Alvarenga, Flavio Gimenes; Marchioro, Dáfni Fernanda ZenedinWe make an introductory study of the formalism of Loop Quantum Gravity. A brief review of the cononical formulation of General Relativity is performed, in order to motivate the introduction of the loop formalism. We show how it can be adapted to bidimensional gravity, more specifically to the Jackiw-Teitelboim model, for which we make a complete analisys of the canonical formulation using the first order formalism. We finally comment on how the quantization procedure could be implemented in this model
