Resumo
This research addressed the teaching/learning about venomous animals in high school. Its general objective is to produce coursewear for the study of venomous animals at the high school level as a way to help in biology classes specifically in the contents of zoology and health in order to collaborate with the prevention of accidents by venomous animals and with the conservation of the fauna, spiders, scorpions and snakes. For this, initially, the subject of venomous animals was analyzed from the perspective of the student, the teacher and the high school textbook. To reach its results, the survey counted with 20 students between 15 and 18 years of age from a public and urban high school in the city of Porto Seguro - Bahia and 9 teachers of Biology, between 27 and 58 years old from various schools in the cities of Porto Seguro and Santa Cruz Cabrália in Ba. The paper is a quantitative and qualitative approach research-action. The data were collected through questionnaires (applied one to students and another to teachers) containing subjective and objective questions and by the analysis of the textbooks adopted by the teachers interviewed. The data were tabulated and analyzed in absolute frequencies (gross amount of responses) and relative frequency (simple percentage), categorized according to the perspective of Bardin (2011). Then, based on the information collected with these agents of education, a Didactic Sequence (DS) entitled "The fantastic world of venomous animals: spiders, scorpions and snakes" was constructed to facilitate the teaching of Zoology and Health with a focus on venomous animals and also an informative booklet entitled "Illustrated Manual for the prevention of accidents by venomous animals and the conservation of fauna of spiders, scorpions and snakes" was prepared by , which can be used by teachers, students and the community in general. After the pedagogical intervention carried out through the DS, the students demonstrated a satisfactory use of the knowledge about venomous animals. There were also some misunderstandings in the teachers' perceptions on the subject. Regarding the textbooks, they are still very superficial in treating this theme, without making a relationship with the importance of the fauna under study for the environment, for health and for the teaching of Biology.
