dc.description.abstractLula Rocha was a great representative of the struggle against the extermination of black youth and black militants from Espírito Santo. The present work brings his trajectory, as a foundation for the rescue, construction and maintenance of the memory of those who fought for the rights to health, education, representativeness and culture of young black people, which to this day is recognized as a trajectory of a great and important leader from Espírito Santo. From the reality of these young people, who find few representations and/or references of recognition and construction of positive identities in history, in the arts and in the trajectories of schooling, the work also analyzes the means of forgetting and erasing the social and cultural existence of the black population and the physical and symbolic extermination of black youth, that is, genocide and memoricide. These exterminating actions are the result of the performance of violent colonial policies that promote physical deaths of these young people by agents of the State and deaths after death, which consist of forgetting these violent actions and the victims of these actions. The fieldwork was carried out in the Grande Vitória metropolitan region, in the State of Espírito Santo. In addition, the research discusses the strategies of resistance of black youth that go through the processes of formation of the active consciousness of the place of speech and the construction of the memory of Lula Rocha, as new possibilities for opening dialogues with hegemonic powers, considering that the construction of memory is one of the democratic rights provided for in the Federal Constitution of 1988. In the present study, I observe that the construction of his memory by artists (who painted his image and his name on walls, banners and banners), intellectuals and black militants (who wrote his biography and shout slogans with his name in public places) represent the multiplicity of new anti-hegemonic discourses in defense of the physical life and memory of black youth in Espírito Santo.
dc.description.resumoLula Rocha foi um grande representante da luta contra o extermínio da juventude negra e militante negro capixaba. O presente trabalho traz a sua trajetória, como alicerce de resgate, construção e manutenção da memória de quem lutou pelos direitos à saúde, à educação, à representatividade e à cultura dos jovens negros que até hoje é reconhecida como uma trajetória de um grande e importante líder capixaba. A partir da realidade desses jovens, os quais encontram poucas representações e/ou referências de reconhecimento e construção de identidades positivas na história, nas artes e nas trajetórias de escolarização, o trabalho também realiza a análise dos meios de esquecimento e apagamento da existência social e cultural da população negra e do extermínio físico e simbólico da juventude negra, isto é, genocídio e memoricídio. Essas ações exterminadoras são resultado da atuação de políticas coloniais violentas que promovem mortes físicas desses jovens por agentes do Estado, e mortes após a morte, que consistem no esquecimento dessas ações violentas e das vítimas dessas ações. O trabalho de campo foi realizado na região metropolitana da Grande Vitória, no Estado do Espírito Santo. Além disso, a pesquisa discute as estratégias de resistência da juventude negra que passam pelos processos de formação da consciência ativa do lugar de fala e da construção da memória de Lula Rocha, como novas possibilidades de abertura de diálogos com poderes hegemônicos, tendo em vista que a construção da memória é um dos direitos democráticos previstos na Constituição Federal de 1988. No presente estudo, observo que a construção de sua memória por artistas (que pintaram sua imagem e seu nome em muros, faixas e banners), intelectuais e militantes negros/as (que escreveram sua biografia e gritam palavras de ordem com seu nome em lugares públicos) representam a multiplicidade de novos discursos contra-hegemônicos em defesa da vida física e da memória da juventude negra capixaba.
