- ItemA transitividade de verbos de elocução à luz do funcionalismo(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-08-28) Tesch, Joseane Sales de Oliveira; Rocha, Lúcia Helena Peyroton da; Amorim, Carmelita Minélio da Silva; Abraçado, Maria Jussara de AlmeidaThis paper discusses the transitivity phenomenon in social notes, in order to better understand the behavior of elocution verbs commonly used in these texts. To manage for the study that we intend to undertake, we leave the traditional propositions regarding the transitivity also consider the descriptive and functional assumptions and elected as a theoretical functionalist perspective of language, within which is a concept of transitive formulated by Hopper and Thompson (1980). Our perception to contemplate such theoretical aspect was the need to expand, or even upgrade, the way transitivity is designed. Therefore, the contract assumed by us is justified, because we propose a study of transitivity beyond the normative look and aim to better understand the functioning of elocution verbs and transitivity of the prayers that are home in a context of use. The corpus chosen for this study were social notes published on Planeta Pop section, the AT2 notebook, the newspaper A Tribuna, which are small text heralding some information about the life of famous people in the arts and foreign nationals, with the verbs speech as an essential component. The methodology adopted was to observe, describe and analyze the phenomenon elected to our investigation. Thus, after gather the data, we see instances of elocution verbs, seeking to characterize the environment in which they operate to then measure the transitivity of sentence and demonstrate, through some examples, the use of these verbs dynamic and prayers regarding transitivity. The survey revealed a high degree of transitivity in clauses that form the social and notes that the elocution verbs do not produce a patient syntactic object, is suffering the transfer of verbal action, which justifies the fact, as regards the Hopper and Thompson Transitive parameters (1980), we not identify, in any of the analyzed sentence, the affected and individuation of the object.
