This dissertation investigates the difficulties faced by undergraduate students in Mathe matics and elementary school teachers with Mathematical Writing, an essential skill for communicating and arguing mathematical concepts. The research included a bibliographi cal study of PROFMAT dissertations, analysis of normative documents and international assessments, as well as questionnaires applied to undergraduate students, elementary school teachers, the author of the dissertation and a PROFMAT teacher. One proposed activity demonstrated positive results in practice, highlighting the importance of creative engage ment. We conclude with final recommendations that include the practical application of the activity, implementation of a TCC discipline in PROFMAT and improvements in the method of searching the dissertation repository. This study contributes significantly to the understanding and improvement of Mathematical Writing, offering practical strategies and tips for preparing the TCC and improving Mathematical Writing, both for students and teachers.
